Have been here a couple of times now and the food is awesome. You have to get the crab cakes. Not like most places, these are full of crab meat and not full of breading. If you like fish tacos, give them a try. They are delicious. I would rather the fish be grilled, but the fried fish is tasty. The services is okay. The last time we were there two waitress was discussing who was going to serve us. Not something that should take place in front of customers. Also when my everyone's drink glasses are empty, I shouldn't have to ask for refills. Especially when we are still eating our meal. Overall the food is great, service is okay.
All right yelpers! I have been looking for a seafood restaurant near my home and I've been wanting to stop at this restaurant for quite some time and I decided that yesterday was the day. So I called and spoke with Hannah who was quite busy but took the time to take my order and oblige me not knowing what to order. So I ordered red Fish for my husband and I with a side of crawfish étouffée rolls, some Dungeoness crab, and blue crab. I was starving from our Sunday road trip so had to quickly take photos before it was gone. My first bite Into the eggrolls I could not stop they were so good. If you like something really wet then it might not be your cup of tea I like them dry it was perfect. Could've use some type of sweet-and-sour dipping sauce but it wasn't a necessity. The redfish was wonderful it was fresh very tasty, and had a spicy kick. The jambalaya was delicious! The fish also had a topping of crawfish and heavy cream tasso sauce, I'm lactose intolerant the heavy cream would have been an issue however I suspected that it is what it was and took lactate before eating. This was absolutely delicious. Would be nice to add a green side with it. But for the price of $17 I think it's a deal for red Fish. Onto the the blue crab was definitely spicy they're full. The Dungeoness crab was also delicious and spiced right. Overall I enjoyed my entire take-out meal. I enjoyed seeing the staff wearing masks. I also like seeing social distancing in the dining room. Kudos to this team and owner for making customers feel safe during their dining experience. I wish them well. I will be back! There is ample parking in the parking lot, and there is no curbside pick up. If you want fresh seafood to cook at home there's also a market inside the restaurant that could definitely heighten your whole meals. Some of the selections there was fresh red fish, salmon, sausage, snow crabs, Dungeoness crabs, seasonings, bell pepper, and many many more items.
Decided to finally try this place and it did NOT disappoint! We had the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were delicious. I wasn't able to get a photo since we ate that first and just dug right in lol! We ordered the catfish platter and the Cajun pressed sandwich (literally just a cubano on french bread) both were absolutely delicious!! We can't wait to come back and try some of the other dishes. One of the best restaurants in Luling for sure.
Place isn't much to look at, but the food is incredible, prices amazing, and staff was friendly and quick. Best seafood we had on New Orleans and would make the drive out if ever visiting again.
